Our butterfly garden renovation at the Irene Stern Community Center in Fulshear has turned out beautifully thanks to a team of wonderful, hard working volunteers! This amazing group of people showed up in 103 degree weather to help us plant some native milkweed and turn a weed-filled, neglected garden into something the monarchs (and human visitors) will come from miles around to visit! We are so excited to see our plants in action in time for the fall migration, and to have such a great support network to help us make it happen. We hope to do many more of these gardens next year (in cooler weather), and involve some of our program's future participants!
We also want to say a big THANK YOU to Houston Wilderness for funding the makeover, Forever Fulshear, Enchanted Gardens, and Ramona Ridge!
